There are three different options for how you can subscribe to Nest Aware:

How to subscribe to Nest Aware from the Google Store?

• Tap Google Store on your device.
• Search for and download the Nest app.
• Open the application.
• Tap on the “Sign in with Google” option.
• Sign in to the Google account you want to subscribe to Nest Aware with.
• You will receive a message “Nest wants to access your Google account“. Tap “Allow“.
• Then you will see a screen where you can add your home. Type your house name and tap “Continue“.
• Then type your home address and select the country you are in and tap “Next“.
• Then activate the option if you want to be notified about Google promotions and tap “Next“.
• Allow the app to access your phone’s location to determine whether you are at home or outside.
• The app will automatically determine your location. Tap “Done“.
• The “Nest” app wants to find and connect to devices on your local network.” Tap “Allow“
• You can now add a compatible device in the Nest app. Tap “Add product” and follow the app’s instructions to connect to your compatible device.

How to subscribe and sign up for Nest Aware on iPhone?

• Tap App Store on your device.
• Search for and download the Nest app.
• Open the application.

You can only subscribe to Nest Aware using Google Home on Android devices. If you don’t have an Android device, use the Google Store to subscribe to Nest Aware.

1. Download and open the Google Home app on your Android device.
2. Sign in to the Google account you will use to subscribe to Nest Aware.
3. Tap Settings on the home screen.
4. Under the “Features” option, select Nest Aware.
5. Tap on the “Subscribe” option.
6. You will view the Nest Aware subscription options. If you haven’t used a trial before, the free Nest Aware trial subscription option is active.
7. Choose your Nest Aware subscription plan.
8. Choose to pay the subscription fee monthly or annually.
9. Check the Nest Aware purchase details.
10. Then select “Subscribe”.
11. Google Play will send a subscription receipt to your e-mail address.

• If you have a device compatible with the Google Home or Nest app, you can enjoy the Nest Aware subscription benefits free for 30 days.
• After the Nest Aware Trial period ends, you can subscribe to the paid version of Nest Aware to continue enjoying the subscription features. Only one free trial of Nest Aware is allowed per home.
• You cannot cancel a Nest Aware Trial subscription once it has started. But if you don’t want the camera to record video and audio, you can turn these features off. You can also delete previously recorded videos and audio detection recordings from the application memory.
• To subscribe to a Nest Aware free trial, you must live in a country eligible for a Nest Aware subscription.
• Some Nest Aware features may vary depending on your region and compatible Nest device.
• You must use a Google Account for the Nest Aware account opening process.

Your Nest Aware free trial subscription lasts for 30 days. However, some features of Nest Aware, such as Emergency Call, are only available for paid subscriptions.

Nest Aware Free Trial Subscription Features

Features included in Nest Aware free trial:

• Your Nest webcam gives smart alerts if it detects a familiar or unfamiliar face.
• Within the United States, you’ll get smart alerts if the Google Nest speaker or screen detects a glass-shattering sound or smoke.
• You can create an Event Zones category for the areas where you want your camera to take close-up shots. You will receive special smart alerts if motion is detected in these areas.
• You can access your entire video history in the form of short clips saved in your 30-day trial subscription.
• To get full video history, you need to upgrade your Nest Aware subscription. If you upgrade to a paid version of Nest Aware, you can access your entire video history.
• You can also create and share video clips and time-lapse videos in the trial version.

Manage Nest Aware Subscription

• If your region and device are suitable, you can start a free Nest Aware trial subscription to the Home app or Nest app. Depending on your region, you may not be eligible for a free trial subscription.
• You can re-subscribe to Nest Aware at any time during the Nest Aware trial subscription period or after your subscription has expired.
• Nest Aware will notify you by email before your trial subscription expires.

Here are a few tips on how to see when your Nest Aware trial subscription will expire:

For subscription period control with an internet browser;

• Go to google.com/subscriptions. If you are not logged in, log in to your account.
• If you have multiple subscriptions, select the house from the menu where you started the trial subscription.
• You can see the expiry date of your trial subscription in the Nest Aware option.
• If you have a paid Nest Aware subscription, you’ll see the subscription start date.
• If no date information is available, your Nest Aware trial subscription may not be started.

For subscription duration control from the Google Home application;

1. Tap Google Home.
2. Choose Settings.
3. Under the “Features” section, select Nest Aware to view your subscription period.

For subscription period control via Nest application;

1. Tap the Nest app.
2. Go to Settings > Nest Aware.
3. You can view your subscription period.

How to cancel your Nest Aware subscription?

For Nest Aware unsubscribe on iPhone;

1. On iPhone, go to Settings.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap iTunes and the App Store.
4. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
5. Tap View Apple ID.
6. Scroll to find and tap Subscriptions.
7. Select Nest Aware.
8. Select Unsubscribe.

For Nest Aware unsubscribe on Android;

1. Open play.google.com.
